ANOTHER case of Covid has been confirmed in Cumbria.
Public Health England figures show that 2,756 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am on Tuesday, July 21 in Cumbria, up from 2,755 on Monday.
The rate of infection in Cumbria now stands at 552 cases per 100,000 people, far higher than the England average of 455. Across the UK, the number of recorded cases increased by 445 over the period, to 295,817. Cumbria's cases were among the 44,410 recorded across the North West, a figure which rose by 79.
