A SELF titled foodie has set up a fundraising page in a bid to save a much loved establishment.
Food blogger Harrison Ward the 'Fell Foodie' set up a gofundme page to help Homeground Coffee and Kitchen, Windermere, so far raising £1,000 in just two days.
"It is often described by customers as one of the best daytime eateries in the National Park. I echo this sentiment and it would be a tremendous loss to the service industry if this unprecedented period...caused the door to close," he said.
Homeground has experienced several set backs in the past few months, in April the premises were broken into and if that wasn't enough the roof is in need of desperate repair.
This has meant the cafe's re-opening has been pushed back, possibly till September.
