THE air ambulance were called out multiple times today to different incidents in the Whitehaven area.
Great North Air Ambulance received their first call at about 12.45pm to assist the North West Ambulance Service in the Hensingham area.
A spokesman for GNAA said: "We were called at 12.43pm today to Whitehaven to assist NWAS with a patient in the Hensingham area.
"The patient went to the hospital by road."
The second call came just before 4pm to the Kells area.
At 3.55pm they were called to a medical incident where the NWAS required assistance.
GNAA provided assistance and flew the patient to the hospital.
