A WOMAN has been accused of assaulting a police officer.
Derian Lee Duff is alleged to have assaulted PC Sutherland by beating her on May 23.
The 25-year-old was remanded on unconditional bail by South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court.
The defendant, of Greengate Street in Barrow, has indicated a plea of guilty, according to court records.
She will appear at the same court on July 6 after her case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be carried out.
