PLANS have been approved for work on the new Co-op supermarket in Barrow.
The function room of the Lisdoonie Hotel in Abbey Road will be changed into a Co-op convenience store with the creation of 15 jobs.
The supermarket chain has now had a new plan for its store approved by Barrow Council ahead of it opening.
The chain applied for permission to reposition a ground floor plant area adjacent to the guesthouse to the other side of the site on Furness Park Road.
A boundary wall will divide the hotel from the new supermarket site.
