A MAN has been banned from the road and ordered to wear an electronic tag after admitting drug and driving offences.
Patrick Alan Diamond, 29, pleaded guilty to five charges, including possessing a class B and driving without insurance.
Appearing at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court, the defendant was banned from driving for 17 months and given a 16-week curfew ordering him to stay at his home at Severn Road on Walney between 7pm and 7am.
The court heard the defendant failed to provide a specimen of breath on September 8 after being stopped by police on Salthouse Road.
He was also charged with driving without insurance on the same day.
The defendant also admitted two charges of failing to surrender to custody at court on March 20 and possessing a quantity of cannabis in Barrow on February 26.
