Police have launched an investigation after a cyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash involving a car.
Emergency services were called to the A686 between Kemplay Bank roundabout and Penrith RUFC at about 8am yesterday (June 1).
The car involved was a red VW Polo.
The cyclist, a 51-year-old woman from Penrith, was taken to Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle with serious injuries.
Anyone with any information, or who has dashcam footage, is asked to contact Cumbria Constabulary on 101, quoting incident number 44 of June 1.
