Driver caught at speeds of 131 mph on the M6
A MOTORIST has been stopped by police after being caught driving at speeds up to 131mph.
South Lakes Police pulled over a driver on the M6 southbound who was being paced at speeds up to 131mph.
Police said the motorist has been reported to court.
Officers are urging others to drive safely and to the speed limit.
In a tweet, South Lakes police said: "Stopped after being paced at speeds up to 131mph, M6 southbound and reported to court.
"It's notably busier on the roads into the weekend. Please drive safely and to the speed limit."
