THE Two Tin Tuesday challenge has again been hailed a huge success by Extinction Rebellion Furness.
Tins, toiletries and food collected by XR Furness this week went to Spring Mount Walney, who work in the community to deliver food parcels to vulnerable and elderly people and those isolating because of health issues across Barrow and Walney.
Spring Bank's Aylsha Moore said the collection was "a terrific effort for the community, from the community."
A spokesperson for XR Furness said: "Many individuals and families in Barrow and Walney are struggling financially through loss of jobs, low income or lack of a support network and we're only too happy to help.
"Community spirit will see us through the coronavirus crisis and prepare us for the even greater challenge of the climate emergency."
