MORE than 80 percent of parents in the North West experience parental guilt, according to a latest study.

New research has revealed that 84 percent of parents in the North West experience guilt when it comes to raising their children, with parents feeling guilty almost once every day on average.

This equates to 26 times per month or 315 times per year.

The study, which was conducted amongst parents in the UK by My Nametags, found that parents in the North West are the amongst the most likely to be afflicted by parental guilt in Britain, coming in second behind those in Yorkshire.

The most common cause of parental guilt in the North West is allowing children to have too much screen time, with half of parents feeling guilty letting their youngsters spend time on their iPads or TV.
