OUTDOOR markets and car showrooms are set to reopen from June 1.
Boris Johnson also said that all other non-essential retail will reopen from June 15.
“Today I want to give the retail sector notice of our intention to reopen shops so they too can get ready,” said the Prime Minister during the government’s daily coronavirus briefing on Monday evening.
He says reopenings will only be allowed for shops that are 'Covid-secure' and new guidance for the retail sector will help them meet hygiene and social distancing standards.
