RESCUERS were called out after a mountain biker fractured his ankle following a 'fairly low-speed fall' in the Lake District.
Langdale/Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team (LAMRT) was called out to the incident just above Tarn Foot Farm, by Loughrigg Tarn, at around 5pm yesterday.
An LAMRT spokesman said the man, in his mid-twenties and cycling with a friend, had suffered a fracture-dislocation of his ankle and was transported to a waiting ambulance by rescuers.
