A MAN has appeared in court accused of threatening unlawful violence, criminal damage and possessing a knife in public.
John Allen, of no fixed abode, was refused bail and remanded in custody when he appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
The 40-year-old, who was represented in court by Andy Gallagher, has been charged with threatening or using unlawful violence in Barrow on March 28.
Allen is also accused of damaging a uPVC window belonging to Wayne Moffatt and a Mercedes belonging to Donna Jefferson.
He is additionally charged with being in possession of a flick knife in Storey Square without lawful authority or reasonable excuse.
All offences are alleged to have happened on the same date.
Allen pleaded not guilty to threatening unlawful violence and possession of the knife in a public place.
He will next appear at Preston Crown Court on June 19.
