NEW data suggests Barrow has the highest coronavirus infection rate in the country.
The borough has 804.3 cases per 100,000 people, making it the worst affected area in the country.
It is just over one and a half times the second highest infection rate of 513 in Lancaster.
South Lakeland has a rate of 482.
Figures show a total of 540 cases in Barrow.

Public Health England has published figures by local authority level for the first time.
The infection rate across England is 235.7.
