CUMBRIA Wildlife Trust is calling for budding snappers to enter its 2020 photography contest.
Andrea Simpson, publications officer, said: “None of us can travel far at the moment, so we decided that this year's photo competition entries should celebrate the interesting and amazing species you can encounter where you live.
"Whether it’s interesting animal behaviour, flora, unusual insects or familiar garden birds, capturing these encounters are a satisfying way to stay connected with nature."
The 12 winning photographs will feature in the trust's 2021 calendar.
The overall winner will receive a £100 voucher for camera equipment, second place will get a £50 voucher and third place will get a £25 voucher.
