CHURCH parishioners helped to collect toiletries for staff at Furness General Hospital.
The Bay Hospitals Charity, which manages donations made to the hospital trust by using it to buy equipment and upgrade facilities, posted details of the donation on Twitter.
The charity revealed Gill Grisedale from St Mark's Church in Barrow town centre had coordinated the collection of bathroom goodies.
Bay Hospitals Charity said: "It’s always a pleasure to receive even more toiletries for our #NHSCovidHeroes at FGH from Gill Grisedale @ St Mark's Church, Barrow. Thank you."
As well as managing cash donations, which have recently been used to buy an ultrasound machine for FGH and providing 'memory trolleys' to dementia patients, Bay Hospitals Charity is also distributing gifts from members of the community during the coronavirus pandemic.
