A SHIPYARD building is due to get a facelift if plans are approved.
BAE has applied to council planners to re-clad a building on Michaelson Road.
Proposals have been put forward to replace the cladding and windows on Building A45, which is grade II listed.
According to the plans, the building dates back to 1872 and was used by the Barrow Iron Shipbuilding Company.
“The elements of the existing building which are to be replaced are in a very poor condition," a planning statement said.
