FIGURES released by NHS England show that more than 30 people have died as a result of coronavirus in north and west Cumbria.
Sadly, 33 people have now lost their lives in the two hospitals ran by North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust - which runs the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle and the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven.
The trust recorded two more deaths on Friday and three more on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust - which operates Furness General Hospital in Barrow - has recorded 51 deaths.
They recorded a further two deaths on Friday and 14 on Thursday.
