SPIDER-MAN has been caught running through the streets of Barrow warning residents to "stay inside".

The stunt, led by Atomica Comic Comics, was an effort to help cheer up local residents in lockdown.

A passer-by filmed Spider-Man running up Dalton Road yesterday afternoon.

Spider-Man said: "in these hard times we've all got to pull together. "Like Doctor Octopuss, the lizard, every other villain you can think of, I've beaten.

"But the real heroes here aren't me or my vengeful buddies.

"No they are actually NHS workers and all the people of Barrow and Furness.

"So 1) stay safe 2) stay indoors, only come out for exercise 3) keep safe. "Spidey out."
