CARE home bosses are urging vulnerable people to stay away after suspected cases of coronavirus among residents.

The Old Vicarage Care Home in Grange is warning volunteers that offered to help within the care home but may also be unwell, elderly or have underlying health conditions, to stay away due to safety risks.

In a statement issued online, the care home said: "The Old Vicarage would like to thank everyone who has offered support and help.

"If I haven't got back to you, I am not ignoring you in any way, we've had lots of offers of support and we are just going through them all.

"We have suspected cases of COVID19 at The Old Vicarage so if you are looking after someone who is unwell or elderly or has underlying conditions or you yourself have them, unfortunately for your protection and the protection of others, its not safe for you to be helping at The Old Vicarage

"Thank you, we really appreciate all the offers of help and medical supplies.

"Take are and stay safe."
