A SCHOOL has paid tribute to its headteacher who died after being diagnosed with coronavirus by flying a flag in her memory.
Roose Primary School has flown a flag at half mast in tribute of their headteacher, Wendy Jacobs, who died of coronavirus last week.
Mrs Jacobs, 58, sadly died after being treated in intensive care at Furness General Hospital.
Since news of her death, tributes have poured in from staff and pupils.
Mr Chatfield said: “This is a huge loss to our school, nursery and our community and I will be in touch as soon as possible to explain how we will celebrate Mrs Jacobs’ life and contribution.”
Roose Community Primary School pupils Luke and Zach Crellin, aged nine and seven, were two of many pupils who paid their respects to the headteacher by displaying home-made bunting outside the school grounds.
Zach said: “Mrs Jacobs was the best head teacher ever."
