RAIL police in Barrow have spoken of problems 'engaging' with passengers amid the coronavirus pandemic.
British Transport Police (BTP) said no passengers boarded or alighted the last train to Barrow on Saturday.
Officers have been told to ask rail-users to justify their journey amid the lockdown.
An officer said on Twitter: "I’m supposed to be ‘engaging’ with passengers to check they have a necessity to travel. It’s not been easy because the last one of the night to Barrow had nobody board or alight. #AndThatsAGoodThing #StayHomeSaveLives
