ELEVEN people have died as a result of Coronavirus (Covid-19) in Cumbria over the past few days, new NHS figures show.
The updated figures for Cumbria come alongside news that a further 107 patients in England who tested positive for Covid-19 have lost their lives to the virus.
The total number of confirmed deaths in England now stands at 521.
There are now 11,658 positive Coronavirus cases in the UK with 578 deaths.
Seven deaths were reported at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust between Sunday and Wednesday.
Four deaths were also recorded at the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust between Tuesday and Wednesday.
NHS England said the patients were aged between 32 and 102 years old and all but two patients (aged between 71 and 86 years of age) had underlying health conditions.
