A POLICE officer thank a kind-hearted member of the public for a generous gesture while out on patrol.
The Barrow officer was on patrol in an empty Hindpool Park on Monday when a passer-by offered to buy them a coffee.
Barrow Police tweeted: "Sat on an empty park updating my pocket note book when a lady pulls up in a vehicle asking if she could go and get me a coffee from McDonald's.
"People really do pull together in times of trouble.
"I sometimes forget how kind people are."
Police praised people in Barrow yesterday for not going outside and social distancing.
They posted pictures of empty streets and parks.
The Government advises people to stay inside, unless to exercise, buy food, or travel to work if necessary.
