THE current panic relating to the coronavirus is well over the top.
Considerably more people die from other causes including ordinary flu in the same period of time that never get mentioned.
I can remember the SARS alleged pandemic when we were told 25 per cent of the world’s population was going to die and we would descend into anarchy.
This sort of hysteria only helps companies involved in anything connected with medicines to make a huge profit.
By all means wash your hands while singing “Happy Birthday” twice, but you should be doing that or something similar anyway if you have any form of contagious illness, whether mild or otherwise.
By the way, in 2018, 209 people died each day in Britain from flu-related illness without the “aid” of the coronavirus and no major panic was created.
