CHANNEL Four should move its headquarters to Barrow and not Leeds, a former reporter for the channel has said.

Michael Crick, a former political correspondent, suggested the channel should move its headquarters to Brexit-voting areas such as Accrington, Boston - or Barrow.

He was speaking in a lecture on the media at the University of Oxford in memory of Barrow-born journalist Phillip Geddes, who was killed in an IRA bombing.

The channel is set to move to a new home in the West Yorkshire city later this year.
