BARROW Borough Council are set to take more than 300 people to court for failing to pay council tax.
The authority will apply for 310 liability orders for council tax and 22 liability orders for business rates.
The applications will be made at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court on Monday.
If granted, the liability orders may require the respondents to attend court should they fail to pay the outstanding amount.
The orders also give the council permission to appoint bailiffs or to deduct money from benefits.
