BARROW is set to welcome a visit from a member of the Royal Family this week.

The Princess Royal, who is Royal Patron of the Motor Neurone Disease Association, will visit the Cafe Neuro Drop-In at St. Mary’s Living Well Centre in Barrow on Thursday.

Princess Anne is the only daughter and second child of The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.

The hard-working Royal is known for her charitable work and is a patron of over 200 organisations.

Cafe Neuro runs weekly drop-in sessions offering signposting, advice on carer assessments and plans, music for the brain and crafting.

The cafe at the centre in Duke Street can signpost people to other help and is particularly keen to see that each carer has a carer assessment completed and a plan in place.

Cafe Neuro is run under the umbrella of the Cumbria Neurological Alliance.

Sessions are led by different neuro charities including Headway, Motor Neurone Disease Association, MS Society and Parkinson’s UK.
