A BARROW man has been told to pay almost £700 after being found guilty of assault.
Mark Andrew Martin, of Low White Close, denied assaulting Cheryl Hainsworth on September 13 but was convicted after a trial.
The offence happened in Barrow.
The 51-year-old appeared for sentence at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court on Monday where he was also sentenced for a bail act offence.
He was fined a total of £260 and also ordered to pay £400 court costs and a £32 victim surcharge.
