A BARROW mum has thanked a charity which provided ‘vital’ accommodation for the family when her daughter was seriously ill in hospital.

Selena Jolliffe is raising funds for the Ronald McDonald House Charities which supplied free ‘home away from home’ accommodation when her daughter, Darcey, was hospitalised.

The little girl, now two, was just a few days old when she was rushed to Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital after blood was found in her nappy.

The charity provided the family with accommodation for two weeks whilst Darcey was treated in hospital.

Nikki Edwards Amazing charity - a lot of people don’t realise the little charity boxes on the counter at Maccies and also the drive thru are just for this too. Every little helps. You really have no idea how much you need this until you have to use it

Kirsty Holt Amazing charity. Looked after me and my partner when our baby boy was born and sent to Manchester hospital.

Sarah Richman We always support Ronald Mcdonald House Manchester as we used the house when our premature son took ill at 8 weeks old and was rushed to Manchester Children’s Hospital. They were amazing.
