A weather warning for rain has been issued for most of Cumbria - which will see up to 100mm of rain hitting the county.
The Met Office warns that many places are likely to see 20-30mm of rain, while some parts of the Lake District and north Pennines could see 50-100mm.
This volume of rain could lead to some travel disruption and flooding, warned the forecaster.
Most of Cumbria is expected to be affected by the heavy rainfall, with only a small stretch of north and south Cumbria expected to be unaffected.
What to expect:
- Spray and flooding probably making journey times longer - by car, bus and perhaps also by train;
- Some interruption to power supplies and other services is possible;
- Flooding may affect a few homes and businesses.
The warning is in place until 8pm today.
