TESCO in Barrow is urging customers to wear sunflower lanyards if they have a 'hidden disability'.
Signs placed around the Tesco Extra supermarket at Cornerhouse Retail Park reveal the lanyards are available.
Shoppers can ask for a lanyard from the customer service desk to indicate to staff that they might need extra assistance.
The signs state: "Some disabilities are hidden.
"Luckily the sunflower lanyards are not.
"Pick up a lanyard from the customer service desk to signal to one of our colleagues that you may need a little extra help while shopping."
