THE Brexit Party for candidate for Barrow and Furness believes it is a ‘three horse race’ for the seat.
Ged McGrath, a former Conservative councillor was speaking as he welcomed Claire Fox, an MEP for the party, to Barrow.
She joined on the campaign trail as the Brexit Party van toured Barrow trying to get the message out via megaphone.
North West MEP Ms Fox said: “The response has been very positive from people.
“A lot of people are sick of the current state of the two major parties and are tempted by something different.”
Mr McGrath said: “Everyone we’ve talked has welcomed us and been positive towards us.”
He will share Thursday’s ballot paper with Labour’s Chris Altree, Liberal Democrat Loraine Birchall and Conservative Simon Fell.
