A DRIVER has been taken to hospital after a collision on the Coast Road.
Police said two cars involved in the incident which took place on the road, near Bardsea, just before 12pm today.
It involved a Vauxhall Astra, driven by a man, 62, and a Nissan Leaf, driven by a woman, 69.
The Astra driver and a passenger in the Astra were taken to Furness General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
The Nissan driver was not injured.
The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident and reopened at 2.20pm.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact officers on 101, referring to log 82 of December 9.
