A RESTORED Grange Lido could work in partnership with the new Eden Project North in Morecambe.
That is the view of Si Bellamy OBE, head of Eden Project International.
The eco-friendly tourist attraction will be based in Morecambe, and will celebrate and promote the whole of Morecambe Bay.
Si Bellamy met with Save Grange Lido, the managing director of Cumbria Tourism Gill Haigh, and the site’s owners South Lakeland District Council on a recent visit to the Lido.
Speaking on Twitter following the visit he said: “Sometimes you go somewhere that is too precious to lose. It is a most remarkable pool in a stunning natural place. I’m excited to see the plans and imagine how this could work with Eden Project North. I’m up for the first swim.”
Eden Project North is planning to open in 2023.
