Fire crew and coastguards attended a rescue in Morecambe Bay this morning.
Three fire engines attended a rescue of persons from sand on the seafront at Redhills Road, Arnside at 10.46am.
The casualty was located approximately ten metres from the water and was trapped by one leg.
Fire crews worked with HM coastguard to free the casualty using digging tools and remained at the scene for around an hour.
