Angela Harrison, manager of Expressions, said: “We are planning on having four different offers on in the store.

“There will also be mince pies on the counter

“It takes people to get behind it for it to work. It’s a good idea and the town needs some positivity.

“All of our offers will be made public on our Facebook page, we’ll be really pushing social media.”

A shop-worker at the British Heart Foundation, Dalton Road, said: “I think it’s a good idea.

“I think that it is also good for the local economy.

“It’s a good way to get people out and into town.”

There will be live music around the town including from Mike Moran, Eleanor Bennett, a Sax Quartet, Paul Nickson, Ray Jones & KS Musicals.
