It was a damp weekend for Parkrun, with the grounds becoming trickier to navigate.

Overcast damp conditions greeted the Millom parkrunners this week, but there was no stopping the cheery runners.

First to cross the finish line for the men was Ray Ward in 21.11, in second place was Paul Caban in 23.08 and taking the third place position was John Rodgers in 23.44.

Taking first place for the women was Pranee Sowerby in 34.25, in second place was Wendy Craik in 37.47 and in third place was Helen Cooper in 38.23.

Barrow parkrun saw 133 people run, jog and walk across the course.

Congratulations were given to Barrow parkrunner David Wright for completing his 50th Parkrun.

Taking first place for the men was Ryan Toomey on a new personal best of 18.51, in second place was Cameron Bell in 19.04 and in third place was Sean Roberts in 19.28.

Finishing first for the ladies was Katie Waite in 21.55, following behind her were Anna Donohue and Hilary Hennah in joint second in 24.26.

Fell Foot parkun saw a great turn out of 172 runners.

The first recorded male to cross the finish line was Jacob Dyer in 19.49, he was followed by Andrew Bell in 20.16, who was then followed by Dan Bell in 20.45.

The first recorded female to finish was Natalie Beadle in 20.53, she was followed by Bianca Dyer in 21.53, who was then followed by Renell Brennan in 22.54.

It was a week of personal bests at Ulverston's Ford parkrun, with 11 of them being achieved.

Taking the first place position for the men was John Millen with a new personal best of 19.07, in second place was William Fish in 20.12 and in third place was Robbie Driscoll in 20.58.

Racing into the first place spot for the ladies was Liz White in 23.55, she was followed in second place by Julie Hunter in 24.41 and following in third place was Joanne McLeod in 25.30.

All Parkrun organisers thanked the weekly volunteers who make the Saturday morning events possible.

People of all fitness levels are invited to take part in parkrun.

The 5km course can be walked, jogged or ran - with children and dogs also welcome.

The event is free and starts at 9am.
