MORE than 200 residents in Barrow face a visit from the bailiffs after magistrates granted the council orders to pursue non-payment of council tax.
South Cumbria Magistrates' Court agreed to 201 liability orders relating to unpaid council tax on Tuesday. The council withdrew 155 cases.
Additionally liability orders were made relating to 19 businesses who have outstanding payments for non-domestic rates. The council withdrew 17 applications for liability orders.
A liability order is a court order that states that you owe council tax but have not paid it.
