BARROW'S Furness Masonic Hall, the meeting place of five Masonic lodges, has recently hosted a special event.
The third oldest of these five Masonic lodges, is Barrow Lodge. Barrow Lodge has celebrated its centenary this year.
At a recent meeting, Michael Lacey MBE, was installed as the latest master of Barrow Lodge, with the principal guest on the evening being Mr David Edwards from the Flyde.
At the meeting it was announced to the attendees that to mark the centenary, a donation of a staggering £1,645 had been made to the Masonic Charitable Foundation, which is to be distributed to good causes.
The Masonic Charitable Foundation says it's aims are 'to relieve and preserve health, advance education and prevent or relieve poverty or financial hardship.'
