Parkrun saw another successful week, with lots of runners ready to take on the free 5k events in Barrow, Ulverston, Millom and Fell Foot.

It was another successful week at Millom parkrun. Taking first place for the men was John Rodgers with 24.15, following behind him in second place was Simon Chapman with 24.39 and in third place was Gary Woodhouse with 24.46.

Striding into first place for the women was Leanne Jackson with 28.52, taking second place was Emma Ryan in at 35.20, and in third place was Pranee Sowerby with 35.33.

Special congratulations have been given to Barrow parkrunners David Sankey and Neil Armstrong, who completed their 50th and 300th parkrun respectively.

Taking first place for the men, with a new personal best of 18.43, was Robert Armstrong, in second place was Joe Turner with a personal best of 18.51, and in third place was Christopher Hubbold, also taking a personal best of 18.51.

First to cross the finish line for the girls was Sarah Bouffler with 22.34, in second place was Rebekah Krull with a new personal best of 23.31, and in third place was Anna Donahue with a new personal best of 24.14.

Ulverston Ford parkrun saw lots of fast finishing times. Ronnie Haddow took first place for the men with 20.50, following behind in second place was Robert Summers with 21.19 and in third place was Andrew Keeley with 21.26.

Liz White achieved first place for the ladies with 23.50, she was followed by Jackie Chapman with a new personal best of 24.56,and in third place was Joanna Bailey with 26.08.

Fell Foot parkrun saw a great turn out of 147 runners.

Winning the first place spot for the men was Jamie Ford with 17.41, in second place was James Corbishley with 18.23 and in third place was James Richardson with 18.28.

First place was for the women was taken by Heather Hatton with 20.41, she was followed by Zoe Richardson with 21.48 and in third place with a new personal best of 22.47 was Janine Ellis.

All Parkrun organisers thanked the weekly volunteers who make the Saturday morning events possible. People of all fitness levels are invited to take part in parkrun. The 5km course can be walked, jogged or ran. The event is free and starts at 9am.
