A crew of BAE submarine rowers are bidding to become the first Royal Navy team to row the Atlantic on December 12, raising £87,000 for the Royal Navy and Royal Marine mental health charity.
Lt Mitchell-Heggs, a crew member, said:"We're grateful to BAE Systems for supporting us and enabling us to undertake this challenge. Without doubt the encouragement of employees in Barrow and Glasgow has been infectious and welcomed by all the crew. We've been invited to talk to employees about the challenge and know they'll be following our progress closely over the coming weeks and months."
