SEVEN criminals are due to appear in court accused of failing to pay fines totalling more than £5,000 with some going back nine years.
At South Cumbria Magistrates' Court on Monday the following people are due to appear:
Aaron Paul Butler, 31, of Cameron Street in Barrow, is accused of failing to pay £1,824.01 in fines imposed in June 2015.
Colin Byers, 49, of Denton Street in Carlisle, is accused of failing to pay £39.40 imposed in November 2010.
David Andrew Ferguson, 47, of Gosforth Road in Seascale, is accused of failing to pay £170 imposed in November 2018.
Thomas Leslie Jackson, 19, of Cant Crescent in Carlisle, is accused of failing to pay £730.50 imposed in July 2018.
Michael Menzies, of Chichester Place in Barrow, is accused of failing to pay £335 imposed in May 2019.
William Slaney, of Castle View Caravan Park in Carnforth, is accused of failing to pay £584 imposed in August 2019.
Janet Stretch, 62, of Grosvenor Street in Barrow, is accused of failing to pay £2,006.97 imposed in December 2013.
Magistrates can agree to allow further time to pay or impose an additional punishment.
