TWO Royal Air Force helicopters were spotted landing in Barrow by eagle-eyed aviation enthusiasts.
Two Puma helicopters were seen landing at the helipad at Furness General Hospital.
Dawn Millard told The Mail: “I sent my son who is helicopter crew in the RAF a video I took.
“He said they are likely to be Pumas doing a training exercise over FGH helipad.”
Amateur photographer James Bird has spotted the Pumas in South Cumbria a number of times.
Speaking about the sighting in Barrow he said: “They landed at Royal Preston Hospital as well as Furness General Hospital."
And he added: "It will just be training as they like to familiarise themselves with multiple landing sites to ensure they could land at different places in case of emergency.”
