Small and medium size businesses have the chance to pitch their services to a major company at an event next month.

The Supply Chain Opportunity Club, which is supported by Cumbria Business Growth Club, is hosting the meet the buyer event with Engie on December 2.

Engie is a leading contractor which works in partnership with local authorities, the private sector and landowners to deliver thousands of new homes and regeneration projects across the country.

It has several design and build projects throughout Cumbria in the pipeline and is looking for contractors.

The meet the buyer event is an opportunity for firms to engage with Engie representatives and find out more about the county projects and how they can offer their services.

Engie and the Supply Chain Opportunity Club held a similar event in March and will also provide an update following that event.

The firm wants to meet businesses which are experienced in delivering on large build sites and can supply the following trades: Brickwork; fencing; ceramic tiling; flooring; loft insulation; groundworks; joinery; landscaping; painting and decorating; plastering/dry lining; piling/vibro; precast flooring; remediation; roof tiling; scaffolding; screeding; tarmacadam; UPVC windows; electrical; mechanical/plumbing; roof trusses; builders' and timber merchants.

The Supply Chain Opportunity Club event will be held on Monday December 2 at the North Lakes Hotel, Penrith from 9.30am to 1.30pm.

To register interest for the Engie Supply Chain event and find out more about the club, email eva@cumbriachamber.co.uk

Priority will be given to businesses that meet the above criteria and are based in Cumbria.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
