THE young swan that was injured after being trapped in a fishing line is now back on the water.
The bird, named Charlotte by her rescuer Deryck Fell, has been returned to her home on Ormsgill Reservoir, by the RSPCA after recuperating from surgery.
She recovered after having surgery in an Ulverston vets, avoiding a similar fate as her mother.
The young swan had its wing trapped as well as stuck down its throat when Mr Fell and Brandon Chapman came across her.
They acted fast to cut the line to free up the wing, then quickly took her to the nearest vets.
