Mandy Carstens hands over the money
A Barrow woman has raised almost £800 by shaving her head. Mandy Carstens, from Barrow Market, managed to raise £774 for cancer services at Furness General Hospital (FGH) in support of her friend and colleague Paul Smith, who is currently undergoing therapy at the hospital.
Jayne Bickerstaff, unit manager at FGH, said “We cannot thank Mandy enough for this great fundraising and also to all her friends, family and customers at Barrow Market who gave so generously."
