SHIPYARD engineers yesterday had the challenging task of moving part of a submarine along a public highway.
Employees at BAE Systems in Barrow had the task of moving part of the Vanguard-class deterrent submarines was moved along Bridge Road to another part of the BAE site.
A BAE spokesman said: "Building the replacements for the UK’s current Vanguard-class deterrent submarines is one of the country’s greatest engineering challenges."
