AN Ulverston-based technology firm has joined a recruitment scheme to help people get back to work.

Siemens Subsea in Ulverston has joined the Siemens UK Returners Scheme.

As part of the Returners Scheme, Siemens Subsea can now offer opportunities for people in the local community to return to work on a fixed six-month contract.

The Returners Scheme is designed to provide help and support for those willing to re-enter the workplace after having a career break of at least two or more years.

The Scheme enables people to refresh their skills and knowledge, whilst applying themselves to learn something new.

General Manager, Mike Henry, said: "The Returners Scheme is a great opportunity for local people that have had a break in their career.

"It will allow them to return to work, get their skills up to date, earn money, all whilst being supported by our volunteer ambassadors.

"The scheme will also help build their confidence."
