A MAN with an alcohol problem who was already subject to a community order found himself before the courts for assault by beating.
Jamie Lee Spencer Tinkler admitted beating Dylan Aitken on July 18, two days after he was given a community order for two charges of stealing from Sainsbury's in Carlisle.
Tinkler, 28, of Millholme Avenue in the Currock area of Carlisle, had his previous community order revoked and a new one issued.
The new order placed Tinkler under curfew for three months, requiring he stay at his home address daily between the hours of 7pm and 7am.
He will also take part in an alcohol treatment programme for three months at Unity.
Tinkler must also take part in a rehabilitation activity requirement.
He was also ordered to pay £50 in compensation, to pay a £90 victim surcharge and to pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
